When you’ve been in a community like Atlanta for as long as D&K Suit City has, it seems reasonable that you would put strong community roots down. With over twenty years in the retail fashion business, D&K Suit City has done just that. Making the most of every opportunity to get closer to our customers in an effort to not only serve them well, but to establish and maintain meaningful relationships that make a difference, D&K is about so much more than just retail fashion at discount prices, D&K is also about community.
Dominique Wilkins and D&K Suit City Team Up
In honor of Thanksgiving, D&K made the most of their influence in the community once again and continued their tradition of helping the people of Atlanta in a couple different ways. In October, D&K teamed up with the “Human Highlight Film” himself, Atlanta Hawks legend and Hall-of-Famer, Dominique Wilkins, to give back by way of giving away a FREE suit each day for 40 days, culminating in a grand prize giveaway of a $1000 shopping spree on Black Friday. Because D&K understands that looking good often times helps with feeling good, they committed to donating a complete suit, shirt, tie, and shoes to not only their daily winners that either registered or were nominated via Facebook, but also to various non-profit organizations such as The Arc of Clayton County, a volunteer-based membership organization made up of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities, Area in Need Missionary House, and Life Lessons Coaching & Mentoring.
First Annual Super Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway
In addition to the great suit giveaway, for the first time ever, D&K Suit City teamed up with “The Super Lawyer,” Reginald Greene, Radio One Atlanta, and PAYUSA to give away 500 free turkeys as part of their First Annual Super Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Hopeful recipients registered online to receive one of 500 free turkeys that were given out at one of two D&K Suit City locations the weekend before Thanksgiving. It’s a new Thanksgiving tradition that we look forward to taking part in again next year and beyond.
It’s What We Do
Because D&K is a local, family-owned business, we’ve always put community first. Whether it’s our base of loyal customers who have trusted us for over 20 years or the people of our community who have never even heard of us, we seek to serve in order to fill the needs of the community, as a whole. In addition, we’ve also donated clothing to local non-profit organizations and served disaster-stricken countries with monetary donations collected from our customers and employees.
We know that people matter and we demonstrate that daily at D&K Suit City.
